      These details can not be ignored when using non-standard chain. Non-standard chain manufacturers tell you that you can remove the chain without cleaning, or you can remove the chain and clean it thoroughly. Thorough cleaning is to remove the chain and put it in the cleaning agent (gasoline or kerosene) for a while, then brush it with a brush. Non-standard chain manufacturers tell you to clean the chain and immerse it in 70~80 °C lubricating oil to make it oil-filled before installation. In the chain in use, if the friction surface is brown or dark brown, the oil supply is generally insufficient, and the lubricant should be added in time. The quality of the chain lubrication will directly affect the service life of the chain.


      After filling the oil, wipe off the excess oil with a dry cloth. When cleaning and filling the chain, the engine must be turned off first, otherwise there is a danger of fingers being twisted into the sprocket, causing unnecessary damage. Furthermore, when installing the chain, the loose side should have a suitable initial sag. The initial sag is about 1% to 2% of the center distance of the sprocket. With the front and rear axles and the rear suspension axle in a straight line, the chain is at the theoretical maximum. When adjusting the chain, it is necessary to satisfy the normal opening of the chain when it is in the position of the three axes. If the chain is too tight, it will lead to poor transmission, increase power consumption, accelerate the wear of the chain and sprocket, and easily break the chain or even cause an accident. The chain is too loose, it will make an unusual noise when driving, the vibration will increase, and there is a danger of losing the chain.


      Lubrication chains are best used with chain-specific lubricants or mechanical oils No. 30 and No. 40, or SAE90 gear oils. It is necessary to use oil with a higher viscosity. If the viscosity is too small, the lubricating oil will splash into various parts of the vehicle body while driving, affecting the beauty of the car, dirtying its own trousers, and the lubrication effect is not good. When replacing a new chain, it should be noted that the chain is shipped in two forms: one is wax sealed and the other is pre-lubricated. The so-called pre-lubrication means that the chain is immersed in lubricating oil before leaving the factory.


      The above two processes are mainly for rust prevention and easy storage. The latter can be installed directly after opening the package. The former should be waxed first, cleaned with diesel oil and re-soaked. When filling the lubricating oil, not only the oil should be injected on the surface of the chain, but also the oil should be immersed in the gap between the pivot and the inner and outer chain plates, so as to achieve the purpose of lubrication.
